Kurumba Maldives appoints a new Resort Manager and Human Resources Director

Kurumba, one of the best 'value' Maldives resorts near Male, has announced two key promotions: Ali Farooq as Resort Manager and Isham Ismail as Director of Human Resources.

Ali Farooq is the Resort Manager

In the middle of 2001, Ali began his career at Kurumba as a young intern. Ali has forged his path in this resort with loyalty, hard work, commitment, and dedication since his early days in Food and Beverage, and has exposed himself to all facets of the operations over the past two decades.

"With his knowledge of the resort and the strong relationships he has built with our guests, both internal and external, business partners, and team members, we are confident that he will continue to be a key contributor to Kurumba's success in his role as Resort Manager," according to an announcement.

Isham Ismail: Human Resources Director

Isham joined Kurumba in late 2019 as Human Resources Manager. During his tenure here, the resort has seen a shift in its overall HR approach, increased morale, and made numerous improvements to the team village facilities, activities, and overall recreation programmes. The HR leadership goal is to continue to provide an environment in which team members, both current and future, can thrive and develop themselves to be future leaders in the Maldivian hospitality industry, which is rapidly growing.
